Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 June 2026 · Governing law: Arab Republic of Egypt
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Reel Talk mobile application or website. By accessing or using Reel Talk, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.
1. About Reel Talk
Reel Talk ("we", "us", "our", or "the Service") is a mobile application and web platform at reeltalkapp.net that aggregates movie reviews from Arab YouTube creators and provides film discovery features for audiences across the MENA region. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Reel Talk. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.
3. Your Account
To access certain features you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information.
- Keep your password confidential and not share it with others.
- Notify us immediately at hello@reeltalkapp.net if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
- Reel Talk offers a free tier plus auto-renewable subscriptions: Reel Talk Pro (monthly or yearly) and Cinema Expert (monthly or yearly).
- The title, length, and price of each subscription are shown in the app at the time of purchase and may vary by region.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period; your account is charged within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription and turn off auto-renew at any time in your App Store account settings; cancelling keeps access until the end of the current paid period.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited upon purchase of a subscription. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policy.
5. Content and Intellectual Property
The Reel Talk app, its design, branding, and original content are owned by Reel Talk and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
Third-party content displayed in the app — including film metadata (sourced from TMDb and OMDb), YouTube video thumbnails, and creator review content — remains the intellectual property of its respective owners. We display this content under applicable fair use principles and API terms of service. Reel Talk does not claim ownership of any third-party content.
YouTube video content is owned by the respective creators and is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service. We provide links and AI-generated summaries of public content; we do not host or reproduce video content.
6. Acceptable Use
When using Reel Talk you agree not to:
- Violate any applicable Egyptian, regional, or international laws.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the app or our API without authorisation.
- Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or harmful code.
- Impersonate any person, creator, or entity.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
Reel Talk integrates with and links to third-party services including YouTube, TMDb, OMDb, regional streaming platforms (Shahid, Netflix, OSN+, and others), and cinema booking platforms (VOX Cinemas, Muvi, Reel Cinemas, Cinescape, AMC Saudi, and others). We provide these links for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party service. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Film metadata, streaming availability, and cinema showtimes are sourced from third-party APIs and may not always be accurate or current.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Egyptian law, Reel Talk and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or EGP 100 if you have not made any payment.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Reel Talk and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, and costs (including legal fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.
11. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Egyptian courts. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence.
14. Apple App Store Terms
If you downloaded Reel Talk from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply.
- Parties. These Terms are an agreement between you and Reel Talk only — not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Reel Talk, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Scope of licence. The licence granted to you is a limited, non-transferable licence to use the app on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules in Apple's Terms of Service.
- Maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide any maintenance or support services with respect to Reel Talk. Any support or maintenance is the sole responsibility of Reel Talk. Contact us at support@reeltalkapp.net.
- Warranty. In the event that Reel Talk fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (if any) to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to Reel Talk. Any other warranty claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to a warranty are the sole responsibility of Reel Talk.
- Product liability. Reel Talk, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to Reel Talk or your possession or use of Reel Talk, including: (a) product liability claims; (b) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (c) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
- Intellectual property. In the event that a third party claims that Reel Talk or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Reel Talk — not Apple — will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
- Export compliance. You represent and warrant that (a) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (b) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
